As the founder of EaziSMSPro, I launched this bulk SMS service to help businesses and churches improve communication with their customers. Our system has been successful in serving a wide range of organizations and integrates seamlessly with other systems via an HTTP API. To further enhance our offering, I wrote an addon for the WP SMS plugin, enabling it to work with our SMS service. Additionally, I developed a WordPress plugin from scratch for the Give plugin, providing payment options for local payment processors such as Hubtel, Paystack, Flutterwave, and Slydepay. I was contracted to implement a data export feature that enabled the transfer of database records and binary files from computers in the field to the central server in the cloud. To accomplish this, I employed a distributed systems approach using message queues, process managers (supervisorctl), and Laravel Queue workers. The solution I developed was based on an article I had previously written, which detailed my approach to implementing CSV exports for millions of rows in Laravel (https://www.linkedin.com/pulse/how-implement-csv-exports-millions-rows-laravel-approach-nkrumah/). In practice, the feature involved the initial saving of files to the filesystem, compression of the saved files, and sending them via FTP to the cloud server. The cloud server would then import the files into its database and save the binary files. Based on my proven competence, I was tasked to lead this project (a shock-responsive social protection system) and to add enhancements to its features and architecture. Through this project, I was able to leverage my expertise in distributed systems, message queues, and Laravel to deliver a high-quality solution. As the CTO at GetRooms, I achieved the following: - Scalability: Transitioned the booking system from a 'one hostel to one application' setup to a single database multi-tenant system which worked very well at scale in both development and onboarding of customers. - Innovation: Oversaw the addition of new features to the booking system and provided system design for new features. - Skill development: Gained expertise in multi-tenant application architectures and web server administration.

As the lead and sole developer at GetRooms, which was a startup, I developed a room reservation system for hostels aimed at serving university students. The system proved successful, with around 10 hostels actively using it for room reservation and student and room management.

- Developed an online conference room reservation system for the Institute of Distance Learning during my internship at University Information Technology Services, KNUST. - Modified the authentication system of an open-source project (Offiria) to use LDAP and built an intranet system for the institute. - Built a tender submission system as a sub-module for an existing procurement system used by the University Health Service. The integration sped up the procurement process for the service.

During my time as a full stack developer at the University of Ghana Business School Mobile Lab, I contributed to the development of Location Ghana, a web application that allows users to share locations of events. I integrated the system with Google Maps and built a feature that provides directions to the venue when the link is clicked. Through this project, I gained knowledge of HTML5 geolocation and learned how to integrate Google Maps into a web application.
