Prior to shifting paths, my last IT position focused on working with clients to plan, develop, and implement data-driven web applications for their projects. I collaborated with product managers on vision and value of solutions, executed data warehouse strategy engagements, and created information architecture documents including sitemaps, flow diagrams, wireframes, and SQL server database models.

I drove sales of hardware, software, and services to public sector accounts in Georgia and Alabama, a highly competitive million dollar territory. This role included working with established business partners as well as creating and leveraging new account opportunities. Proposal preparation and making sales calls and presentations were regular responsibilities in this role.

With advanced knowledge of Apple products, I took them on-site to colleges in Georgia, consulting with clients to determine how our solutions could meet their needs and play a role in their success. In my relatively short time in this position, I boosted our revenue in the $8.7M sales territory by 6%, mostly by capturing new account business. Additionally, I boosted student sales by creating marketing plans with campus resellers.

I covered the government and higher-education sectors in the southeast United States and Hawaii and honed my presentation and training skills through the delivery of numerous product demonstrations and client on-site training classes. Highlights of the job included the introduction of a document imaging solution for student financial records to Florida Instructional Research Network and achieving 138% of quota using a self-developed seminar series ,“Publishing on the Internet", in a 17-state territory.

As a licensed associate in the Escambia and Santa Rosa county areas, I have developed a strong professional network. Building strong relationships with clients—understanding needs and listening to concerns—has been key to my success. I design marketing campaigns and collateral to bring in a mix of first-time and experienced buyers and sellers, as well as investors, landlords, and tenants. My role as consultant and expert is as important as my role as salesperson—and these attributes gain clients’ trust and confidence that I am there to serve their best interests. I guide my clients through negotiations and execution of all terms all the way to—and beyond—closing. I joined the board of SRIA in November 2016 (appointed by the County Commissioner and serving concurrent term) to support its mission “to promote tourism, manage growth and provide entertainment in an eco-friendly environment.” In this role, I am an active participant in decision making on the policies, issues, and spending that advance the financial success and quality of life for residents and visitors. My role with the Board includes serving as Chairman of the Architectural and Environmental committee, which reviews budget expenditures for animal and habitat protection and handles requests by home and business owners on building plans and variances.
