* Awarded a competitive internship to research and analyze data on quality of care for hospitals’ emergency department, cancer, and stroke treatments. * Published weekly quality “flash” reports featuring a summary of important health care related newspaper articles and announcements. * Responsible for PHCQA’s marketing and communication via social media (Twitter, Facebook, etc.)

* Conducted statistical analysis on quality data from government programs (CMS, TJC, PHC4, Pennsylvania DOH, et al). * Prepared presentation materials for hospital CMOs on NQF-endorsed measures, CMS Federal Rule- Making, value-based purchasing, and CCMI programs. * Supported monthly hospital and physician workgroup meetings with background research, agendas, and meeting minutes. * Tracked hospital performance for CMS-funded Partnership for Patients Hospital Engagement Network (HEN). Generated monthly custom reports that tracked participating hospitals’ performance, maintained the HEN data portal, attended weekly informational webinars, and developed feedback surveys to assess participants’ satisfaction with the data portal. * Populated Patient-Centered Medical Home (PCMH) directory for all PCMHs in Pennsylvania on the PHCQA website. * Researched health care quality metrics used in QI initiatives and public reporting for inpatient and outpatient settings. * Assisted with the implementation of a regional collaborative to improve the quality of end-of-life care and increase use of the POLST form. Developed the measures used in the collaborative, constructed the baseline survey, and drafted a measurement manual. * Co-authored a comprehensive report on the impact of a regional health care improvement program. Conducted data analysis, literature research, and statistical review of public quality data.

* Managed the daily operations of the Adult Congenital Heart Association’s (ACHA) national Accreditation Program, which accredits adult congenital heart disease (ACHD) programs in hospitals across the country. * Appointed the lead for overseeing the development of our Accreditation Program application website. * Worked directly with all hospitals through every phase of the application process to answer questions and ensure that ACHA has all necessary fees, application documents, and legal information required as part of the application. * Attended all in-person site visits for each hospital that submitted an application to ACHA. * Collaborated with the cardiologists on the ACHA Accreditation Steering Committee to review hospital applications and develop long-term objectives for the Accreditation Program. * Entrusted with the responsibility of expanding ACHA’s national presence by engaging in outreach to hospitals and patients, securing sponsors, and overseeing community development.

* Researched unemployment data as well as the strategies to reduce rising joblessness. * Organized job fairs and press conferences. * Drafted press releases and office newsletters for the Secretary of Labor.

* Assisted with the implementation and management of ACHA’s Accreditation Program. * Drafted an applicant user manual, policy and procedure templates, and decision reports distributed to each applicant, which outlined the ACHD program’s deficiencies. * Worked with our legal team to implement HIPAA compliant policies and procedures and to obtain business associate agreements from each applicant.
