Oversee engineering resources and lead cross functional collaboration on projects. Responsible for managing engineering tasks and deliverables, including developing the engineering schedule, test plans, drawings, and timelines. Acting as the Primary representative for engineering and ensuring effective communication with all functions assigned to the project.

Supervise the tasks of engineers/mechanical designers and lead all technical aspects of Project Colorado and the Agree Chair Oversaw the work of project team, including 2 contract and 2 associate engineers. Generate parametric models and drawings while partnering with Marketing, Manufacturing, NC Automation, and I.T. to align on the statement of line. Monitor and set expectations on product quality, project budget, and engineering performance. Create and Manage Engineering tasks and deliverables. Interview and mentor Product Engineering Interns. Organized and continue to lead Steelcase's Product Engineering Co-op Program. Developed an Intern Assessment Matrix Tool to help guide Engineering Mentors. 6 Patents (2 on Verb Fliptop and 4 on Elbrook’s unique designs.)

Collaborated with design and marketing to observe and identify user insights and apply them to product design. Validated concepts with many different approaches (hand calculations, prototyping, FEA analysis). Led the Product Engineering work for Verb Wave 2, Elbrook, and Elbrook Wave 2 Evaluated many designs in order to select a solution that best fits the needs of the project and users. Led drawing reviews with suppliers and plant Manufacturing Engineers. Developed new testing methods when gaps were identified in the project’s DFMEA.

Designed refrigeration sub-assemblies to reduce total manufacturing time by 25%. Utilized Pro-engineering to design test chamber components. Worked with project managers to set timelines and create budgets. Utilized AutoCAD to design refrigeration schematics to be used in production. Created parts lists to include all options required by the customer. Calculated heat transfer, flow rates, and efficiencies. Reviewed piping installed by production for quality. Solved issues with performance of refrigeration chambers.
