* Monitor process indicators, instruments, gauges, and meters in order to detect and report any possible problems. * Signal other workers by intercom and hand signals to direct them to move products during the production process. * Verify that incoming and outgoing products are measuring correctly and have the correct stamped information. * Read and analyze specifications, schedules and logs to determine how to set equipment controls to produce the required qualities and quantities of products. * Operate machinery used in the production process, or assist machine operators. * Record information such as the number of products tested, meter readings, and dates and times of product production. * Observe equipment operations so that malfunctions can be detected, and notify operators of any malfunctions. * Separate products according to weight, grade, size, and composition of materials used to produce them. * Mark or tag identification on parts. * Clean and lubricate equipment. * Read gauges and charts, and record data obtained. * Wash work areas, machines, equipment, vehicles, and products.
