Brian Holley

I started my aviation career helping people at the local airport polish their airplanes in exchange for flight lessons. I began my professional aviation career as an apprentice mechanic for DynCorp at Cairns Army Airfield in Daleville, AL. After a year of maintenance work, I decided to become a pilot. I joined the United States Army at the age of 20. I was accepted into the Warrant Officer Candidate Program and attended flight school at Ft. Rucker, AL. I was qualified in the UH-60 Blackhawk after Initial Entry Rotary Wing, Instruments, and Basic Combat Skills training. I completed 8.5 years in the Army as a helicopter pilot getting experience in night vision goggles, dust environments, mountain flying, remote landing zones/confined areas, jungle operations, and Instrument Flight Rules (including icing). I conducted operations in Columbia, SA, Nicaragua, Panama, and Honduras. I deployed to Port Au Prince, Haiti for humanitarian efforts and northeast Iraq. After my time in the Army I moved to New Orleans, LA where I currently reside, and began working for PHI Inc. I signed on to PHI as an IFR second in command in the S-76. I was qualified at FlightSafety International Lafayette, LA in the S-76A++, S-76C, and S-76C++. I became an IFR Captain and attended the AW-139 type course at RotorSim in Morristown, NJ. After three years of S-76 and AW139 experience at PHI, I gained employment with Chevron. I have flown the Bell 206L3, the Bell 427, and Bell 429 for Chevron. I later became an IFR Captain and Flight Instructor in Chevron’s AW139s. I have attended Lead Auditor Training for Quality Management Systems at Georgia Tech in Atlanta, GA and Aviation Lead Auditor Training at Argus in Denver, CO. I acted as internal auditor during the formation of our Auditing Program under Chevron’s Safety Management System. I was promoted to Director of Training where I managed Chevron Gulf of Mexico’s Aircraft Operation’s Training Program (scheduling and budget) and pilot recency. I am now the Gulf of Mexico Aircraft Operation’s Chief Pilot. I currently enjoy the privilege to manage our largest wholly owned fleet, our flight operations, and base operations in Galliano, LA in support of our stake holders with safe, efficient, and reliable logistics.
