Started the trade right out of high school at the age of 17. I received my start in Engineering Department on the drafting board, the eraser was my best friend and the smell of the ammonia from the blueprint machine still lingers in my memories. Being in the trade over 30 years ago now has enhanced my skill set to know how to read blueprints and best practices for designing and building tooling. Seems like it is a lost art these days when everything is patterns and libraries. Don’t I wish I had those tools back then! Worked for a family business for 21 years learning different processes along the way, Compression, Injection, Vacuum, RIM, DCPD, which allowed me to be more versatile in my future endeavors. We wore many hats back then, Engineering, Tool Making, Program Managing, Estimating and Sales. Wherever we were slow, one of us picked up the slack. I have always been a hard worker and treated any place I went as if I owned it. Coming over to Cavalier Tool was one of the best career decisions I have ever made. A place where they all help each other to achieve a product our customers are happy with. Such a top-notch Company when it comes to setting goals and always pushing each other to achieve them. Management has a great way to keep everyone motivated. I enjoy working hard every day for a company who always gives back to their employees. PEOPLE, PROCESS and EQUIPMENT, it not just a saying, we all experience it. Go Cavalier Army
