Senior Engineer @ VQ Biomedical

About

A mechanical design and biomedical engineer with 11 years of experience and key focus on developing novel healthcare solutions, I am passionate about improving patient outcomes through front-end-innovation and design thinking. In addition to authoring multiple patents, I have brought several medical device systems through regulatory approval, launch, and support. I graduated from the Thayer School of Engineering at Dartmouth College with a B.E. and B.A. in mechanical and biomedical engineering. I enjoy working with cross-functional teams to yield new insights into problem-solving. I have a background in minimally invasive devices for cardiovascular, GI, spine, and orthopedic applications. I am right at home in the OR as much as the work bench. I believe engineers need to be in the use setting as much as possible to understand the key needs of their users. I am experienced with ProE/CREO, matlab, the C programming language and hold a Associate Certificate in Solidworks CAD software. Additionally, I have a Lean Six Sigma Green Belt certification. At Dartmouth, I served as my fraternity's Vice President and led my brothers in several campus pursuits including service and community-building initiatives. I am also a member of the two-time National Champion Dartmouth Men's Rugby Team. I also illustrated editorial cartoons for the campus newspaper, "The Dartmouth".
