* Wrote a Medical / Dental health care claims processing application that interfaced with MAPICS II. * C&C handled their own medical and dental claims. This application took in the physician, cpt4 codes, charges - checked with insurance reasonable and customary then provided the claims handler with the amount C&C would cover based upon the plan details. * All of this was table driven for customization, flexibility and growth. * The only complaint received was it was too fast in providing payment back to the employee. We changed the MAPICS interface to run nightly batches to slow this down.

I was an application Developer for the GTE Division of Unistrut. They went private in 1986. I created the Spaceframe Manufacturing Accounting / Cost System (Spaceframe - was an unique building concept resembling giant tinker toys - Think EPICOT Center (Was built by a competitor)) SMACS - Was used to help the project managers identify the material and labor costs of the material to be used on a project. It was flexible enough to allow the engineers to design the structure then calculate how many hexagons, squares, triagles and such were required and the PM would price (material and labor) each unique structure out and multiply by the numbers required. Providing the PM and customer with an exact inventory of what was required.
