Brett Wischow
Founder @ Honey Badger Labs
About
I’m Brett, founder of Honey Badger Labs.I spend my time helping early stage founders figure out their startups unique position in the world and then helping them turn that into repeatable content, ads, and outbound to grow their business.I also run Links Athletic Club, and write Up and to the Right, a newsletter on startup growth.DM me if you’re building and want to riff on your GTM. My toxic trait is giving away a lot of my time for free.

Links is a new golf social club with monthly pairings you'll be excited for, retreats you'll pencil in your calendar a year in advance, and PGA caliber coaching so you don't lose an entire sleeve when you play with your boss next month. We run a Scramble league in the spring, and a March Madness Style Par 3 tournament in the fall. In between we run clinics, events, and pair you up every month with a new set of golf buddies to play with.

Head of Growth
San Francisco Bay Area
Led growth strategy and execution across dozens of early-stage startups, from napkin sketch to traction, customers, and funding. As part of the decision committee, I evaluated new concepts and founders, helping shape what we built and who we built with. Worked hands-on to take 10+ startups from zero to launch, crafting go-to-market plans, finding early traction channels, and turning initial momentum into real fundraising stories.

Hivemapper is a decentralized mapping network that enables monitoring and autonomous navigation without the need for expensive sensors, aircraft, or satellites. At Hivemapper I built a thriving community of 500+ drone pilots and dash-cam drivers to enable a decentralized network of map data.

Director, Growth and Customer Operations
Washington D.C. Metro Area
Built a Market From Scratch—Then Built the Team to Scale It At Starry, I wasn’t just “Director of Growth.” I was the installer, the marketer, the closer, the operator—whatever the market needed, I did it. I pulled cable, pitched landlords, hosted events, installed hardware, and brought internet into people’s homes. Then I built teams to do it better, faster, and at scale. In four years, we grew DC from zero to 20,000 customers. It was full-stack growth in the real world—and the perfect training ground for what I do now at Honey Badger Labs. Starry’s mission? Fix the broken internet experience with a fresh, customer-first approach. I helped bring that to life—street by street, building by building.
