* Co-Chairs share the dual mandate of facilitating the Young Greens Council’s activities and meetings, and Co-Chairs are responsible for reaching consensus on council’s broad objectives and goals for each term. Co-Chairs are also responsible for representing the Young Greens on the Green Party of Canada’s Federal Council (the GPC’s highest governing body) as full voting members. As Co-Chair I am responsible for dividing and delegating my duties according to personal interests and skillsets. * Tasks include: * Scheduling and chairing weekly/bi-weekly YGC meetings * Attending monthly Federal Council meetings * Coordinating Action items and projects between council members and external volunteers * Participating on YGC/GPC Working Groups or Committees * Representing the Young Greens at public events

* Spent 16 weeks doing an independent research project looking at how meat inspection laws need to be updated, looking at how different international and Canadian jurisdictions have dealt with similar problems * Interviewed various stakeholders in meat inspection, including farmers, abattoir owners, grocery owners, and meat inspectors * Performed statistical analysis of information collected during the research phase of the project using Excel to organize and present data

* Coordinated inter-department meetings to develop strategies and programs to maximize Aboriginal Relations Policy * Performed statistical analysis of the regulatory process to determine timelines and maximize efficiency using Excel * Oversaw the Aboriginal Relations Onboarding presentation and online course; assisted with the internal Aboriginal Awareness sessions * Provided support for workshops and community engagement events * Working on the Traditional Knowledge portion of the Environmental Impact Assessment Application * Managed the Aboriginal Contractor Supply Chain database (ISN);

In Law and Society we explore different ways in which the law influences society. Focusing on how policy and law effect different groups within the society differently than others. We examine and analyze policy, review legislation and case law, and discuss other means of social control such as moral regulation.
