As the CEO and Founder of Country Trucker Caps, I have spearheaded the creation and growth of a distinctive brand in the headwear industry, specializing in trucker caps with a unique country flair. My journey began with a vision to blend the rugged charm of country style with the practicality of trucker caps, leading to the establishment of a brand that resonates with both rural and urban audiences. My responsibilities encompass strategic planning, brand development, product design, and overseeing all aspects of the business operations. I am deeply involved in marketing initiatives, ensuring that our products authentically represent the country lifestyle. Under my leadership, Country Trucker Caps has grown into a recognized name, known for quality, innovation, and a strong connection to the country culture and community. Making Country Hats for Country Heads, big enough to fit a larger head the way a quality hat should!

As a shift electrician, my focus was on the maintenance and breakdowns of one dragline, Komatsu 830 electric drive trucks, and HITACHI 5000 electric drive trucks. In a supervisory capacity, I managed coal preparation plant shutdowns and coordinated dragline down days.

As a shift electrician, I concentrated on the maintenance and repair of draglines, an electric shovel, and the coal handling facility, undertaking high-voltage tasks when required. My role also entailed electrical maintenance of various field ancillary equipment, such as lighting plants, mobile crib rooms, and generators, along with the upkeep of all site infrastructure. Additionally, I utilized SAP to plan and execute routine maintenance tasks.

As a shift electrician, I focused on maintaining and repairing draglines, an electric shovel, and the coal handling facility, including performing high-voltage tasks as needed. My responsibilities extended to the electrical maintenance and meeting statutory requirements of a 1000-person camp facility, workshop, and field ancillary equipment such as lighting plants, mobile crib rooms, and generators. I also managed the maintenance of all site infrastructure.

Worked as an electrician across various BMA mines, including Norwich Park, Saraji, Peak Downs, and Blackwater. My role involved HV reticulation tasks, such as replacing old ring main units and installing relevant HV cabling. I was also responsible for dragline maintenance and breakdowns, and participated in numerous dragline shutdowns, which included complete rewiring. My duties extended to leading and supervising team members during dragline shutdowns, and providing electrical shift relief for draglines, shovels, and coal plants at Rolleston Coal.

Participated as a member of a rotating shift team of front line maintenance and breakdown electricians, responsible for prioritizing, planning, and scheduling both programmed maintenance and immediate breakdown responses. My role encompassed maintenance electrician duties on Bucyrus and Marion Draglines, Electric Shovels, and a fixed process control Wash plant. This included conducting pre-inspections, statutory checks, testing, and earth mat testing/establishing, as well as parts procurement, demonstrating proficiency in SAP. Additionally, I was involved in the maintenance and upgrades of all site infrastructure, including the HV Reticulation system and switching. My career also included a tenure at a domestic and commercial electrical contracting company in Rockhampton, where I gained exposure to diverse work techniques and deepened my understanding of the Work Place Health and Safety Act.
