About
I am a former Active-Duty Soldier working to expand upon my cybersecurity experience and knowledge through certifications, seminars, conferences, and practical implementation, with a focus on utilizing my experience to pivot into Penetration Testing. In addition, I am building my network and connecting with people across the industry. Bringing to the table over a decade of experience as a Cyber Operations Specialist within the US Army, I am a cybersecurity expert holding an MS in Cybersecurity concentrated in both Cyber Operations and Cyber Intelligence and a Certified Information Systems Security Professional certification. I currently work as an Exploitation Analyst, my key responsibilities include: training and certifying junior analysts, analyzing networks to find vulnerabilities and access vectors, maintaining and leading multiple priority projects while coordinating courses of action with my customers, and creating and running operation plans to collect and process data from computer networks, and giving customer presentations as a subject matter expert. My core competencies include network understanding and analysis, threat awareness and detection, data extraction, and reporting. I use my defensive cyber education and offensive cyber experience to facilitate cyber operations and intelligence missions, collaborating with various teams and organizations. I am enthusiastic about enhancing the security and resilience of cyberspace, and value collaboration, innovation, and excellence. Contributing diverse perspectives and experiences to any environment I am in and with an eagerness to learn new skills and technologies to expand both my knowledge and expertise.

Experience

Exploitation Analyst
As an exploitation analyst, I am responsible for evaluating recommendations that can improve our mission. I weigh the advantages and disadvantages of these suggestions to make informed decisions. I proactively identify any deficiencies in our capabilities and advocate for new mechanisms that can help us achieve our operational goals more effectively. I also anticipate the impact of emerging technology, policies, and regulations on our mission operations. I develop strategies to mitigate any associated risks. To communicate complex insights to key stakeholders, I create executive-level briefings and point papers. Additionally, I lead teams in developing exploitation plans using our expertise in adversary networks and cyber defenses. During the execution, I adapt these plans as needed. I collaborate with government, military, and contractor personnel to foster shared understandings of intelligence needs and mission relevance. My analytical skills help me drive insightful hypotheses and decision-making processes.

Cyber Operations Specialist (Originally- Cryptologic Network Warfare Specialist)
As a Cyber Operations Specialist, my role is to carry out Offensive Cyberspace Operations (OCO) in support of a wide range of military activities. My main objective is to ensure freedom of maneuver within the cyberspace domain for specific missions and projects. This requires the coordination of power projection through OCO, targeting enemy and hostile adversary activities and capabilities, and applying actions within cyberspace to achieve strategic goals.

Digital Network Exploitation Analyst
As a Digital Network Exploitation Analyst (DNEA), I specialized in performing sophisticated technical analyses of metadata and content to ensure continuous target intelligence. My role involved assessing the intelligence value of various targets and devising strategies to maintain or enhance data collection efforts. Combining traditional SIGINT analysis with a deep understanding of communication infrastructures, I navigated complex hardware and software landscapes, deciphered network topologies, protocols, and applications, and stayed abreast of emerging technologies.
Education

Penetration Testing & Ethical Hacking
Designed for working InfoSec and IT professionals, the graduate certificate in Penetration Testing & Ethical Hacking is a highly technical program focused on developing my ability to discover, analyze, and understand the implications of information security vulnerabilities in systems, networks, and applications, so I can identify solutions before adversaries exploit these flaws.
