Manage day to day activities of a team of manufacturing engineers, applications engineers and laser research technicians. I also oversee critical projects and manage technical communications with our customers.

• Responsible for designing & sourcing tooling for internal manufacturing and turn-key packages. This includes work holding, cutting, airflow fixturing, etc. • Program & Setup EDM & laser machines for manufacturing cooling holes, fans & conicals in turbine blades & vanes • Designed several retrofits and conversion kits for laser and EDM machines • Assist in the quotation process by evaluating CAD models and drawings in order to determine required tooling, estimate machine & human resources and estimate cycle times

• Develop all CAD based drawings throughout facility using Siemens NX 9 • Design and program special order cutting tools (exe: fir tree cutters) • Train individuals brought into department on proper operation and set-up of equipment • Coordinate plant activities with other departments to ensure the facility’s objectives are accomplished • Responsible for delivering R&D and customer projects against time plan and goals as assigned • Create all CNC programs for customer R&D projects & internal testing using Siemens NX 9.0 • Ensure a close coordination between quoting activities, engineering activities, and manufacturing activities • Share information in ways that promote, clarify, and keep the organization informed • Identify training needs and assist with providing training • Responsible to introduce new technology and implement new technology to specials manufacturing • Manage the entire quotation process from concept through execution • Responsible for testing of cutting tools in a wide range of materials including nickel based alloys

• Responsible for the development and maintenance of all programs in the shop including milling, grinding, cutter grinding, wire EDM, CMM, etc. • Work with all shop personnel through trouble shooting & supply all information required to meet end requirements (calculations, sketches, inspection formats, etc.) • Designed, modeled and drafted complex fixturing for the use of machining and inspecting various blades and vanes to blueprint requirements • Determined proper machining process and created operation sheets and other required documentation for use in manufacturing

• Scheduling of product through the shop • Creating & maintaining CNC programs for milling & wire EDM. • Assist shop personnel through trouble shooting • Set-up various CNC machines to manufacture a variety of complex 2 and 3 dimensional Cams and components

• Set-up various CNC machines to manufacture complex machined parts for the aerospace industry • Worked on new product manufacturing development • Maintained quality standards and documentation of all parts machined • Edited programs for optimal manufacturing of parts
