I managed two development teams of 7-8 developers and 17 different applications/projects. I was responsible for creating timelines for upper management, executive summaries of developmental progress, and standards documentation. This was done originally in MS Project but was moved to Confluence as it was more compatible with Jira and Stash. I performed technical reviews on RFPs. I reviewed legislative bills and attached fiscal notes/cost estimates to those bills dealing with technology. I was involved in the IT strategic planning for USBE. I was responsible for the coordination that occurred between the other five technical teams at USBE to ensure communication flowed between teams. Development methodologies continued as described above.

EDFacts Coordinator CACTUS Superviosr Supervised a development team of seven with responsibilities for several different projects written in various programming languages including PowerBuilder, SQL, C#, VB, Java, and .NET. These applications all sat on Sybase database and were migrated to MSSQL databases. The applications ranged from educator data to a budget and accounting system. I managed timelines and the software development life cycle for each of these projects. Some of the business owners were comfortable with the Waterfall style development while others utilized the Agile methodology. Because of the business user’s unfamiliarity and unwillingness to accept with the Agile Methodology we operated with a hybrid methodology. We ran daily stand ups and had two week sprints/development cycles.
