As an operations engineer I assist the operations manager in the Chilca 1 - 3x1 and Chilca 2 1x1 combined cycles.

In the combined cycle 3x1 Kallpa with 3 Siemens Gas Turbine SGT6-5000FD2/3 and a GE Steam Turbine 207D-11 with a total of 913.68MW and the combined cycle 1x1 Las Flores with a Gas Turbine SGT6-5000FD3X and a Siemens Steam Turbine SST-700/BH+40/SST-900 CM80-90 with a total of 321MW. As a shift supervisor one of the most responsible positions in a power plant, I supervised and authorized the works to be carried out in the power plant and taking the final operational decision in the event of any adversity, complication or problem. My main achivement, the advices given to the contractor during de comisioning time of the combined cicle Las Flores.

As a control room operator I handled with the same turbines, doing the alarms analysis and taking corrective actions in the systems to return operating parameters to normal, ensuring that the equipment operates within the limits indicated in the manufacturer's manuals, procedures and instructions. My main achivement, the earlier detecting problems.

As a field operatorI I handled with the GE Steam Turbine 207D-11 and three Siemens Gas Turbines SGT6-5000, doing routine inspections, routine test with the stand by equipment, and assisting form field the fully start up and shut down of the whole plant, seeking the safe, efficient and environmentally responsible operations. My main achivement, my commitment to these tasks.

At power plant puerto Bravo, I had the oportunity to calaborate during the post commissioning of the cold reserve 4X0 Puerto Bravo with 4 GE simple cycle 7FA0.4 dual turbine, for a total of 616MW. During the time that Puerto Bravo was part of Kallpa Generación S.A.

At OPC ROTEM, combined cycle 1x1 single shaft I had the opportunity to cooperate in the start-up and commissioning process of a Mitsubishi M701F4 – 50Hz, dual single shaft Gas Turbine & Steam Turbine for a total of 466MW, a plant of the company where I was working at that moment Kallpa Generación S.A. The objectives were successfully achieved in the planed time.

Through TMT, I cooperated in carrying out two specific tasks for the contracting generator Enersur S.A.

At Enersur I did internships in two of its plants in the south of Peru, the ILO 1 power plant from Engie, with a Stewart & Stevenson Diesel Turbine LM6000, a Diesel Turbine GE Frame VI, two Steam Turbines Brown Bovery and two Steam Turbines GE in the operations area, also did a brief rotation in the planning and projects area. Thanks to the people at Ilo 1 who shared their experience and knowledge in operation with me, I learned about this interesting field.

At CSE TECHNOLOGY I carried out electronic projects in a company that we founded with the company and dedication of my university classmates. It was a pleasant and enriching experience, in which I was able to understand what a company expects from a worker.
