A very new aesthetic and different customer to design for, my role at Proud Poppy was broad and multifaceted. I was in control of colour, silhouettes, prints and design direction for each month. I worked alongside our production manager to meet deadlines for samples and Xfactory dates. Our team was small so my role involved everything from CADS, tech packs, fittings, print strike offs, range plans and communicating with suppliers. Start to finish of the design process, I had creative freedom and was responsible for many overarching descions.

Working under a Designer Manager and Head of product I was an integral part of a large team. Overseeing a Design Assistant I gained leadership skills and am able to give and take direction. Each day consisted of designing into monthly option plans, updating best selling shapes and delving into trend research. I created CADS, specs and send tech packs off to China. As 1st samples come in I would fit them with the garment techs and make fit changes. I also was responsible for selecting fabrics, lining, prints and creating graphics.

I was the head and only Designer at Peppermayo. Overseeing the design process start to finish. Creating exclusive prints, best selling designs and expanding my knowledge of categories from swimwear, dresses, active to knitwear. Over a year and a half I developed a strong trend driven aesthetic which formed the basis of the Peppermayo Exclsuive brand.
