About
My gymnastics background and experience has led me to pursue a career in physical therapy. As part of my education, I completed various natural science courses where I learned about medical business practices, acquired important communication skills for relating to all age groups, and received hands-on experience wrapping and taping injuries. In addition, I interned under LMU’s physical therapist for dance students and observed a variety of other therapists at an outpatient clinic dealing with neurology, orthopedics, geriatrics, sports, cardiovascular issues, and general care patients. This has provided me with a basic understanding of what the physical therapy occupational field requires and the qualities the position entails.
