Curing Kids Cancer’s mission is to fund innovative research and treatments to find cures for all childhood cancers in our lifetime. We are funding cutting-edge research that will lead to better treatments with fewer harmful side effects. CKC has now funded over $30 million for pediatric cancer research.

• Planned and executed three 5k and family fun day events in Los Angeles and South Carolina raising over $50,000 • Created a turn-key template for students at medical schools across the country as we continue to develop a Curing Kids Cancer 5k circuit • Started interest groups and annual fundraisers at medical schools across the country • Created a virtual webinar series with CKC physicians • Formed an annual team for Curing Kids Cancer Firetruck Pull Charity Event

• Helped organize the 2nd and 3rd Annual MSOS Research symposium • Moderated "Tips to Match Panel" for the 2023 event

• Worked with Dr Nathaneal Heckmann and his orthopedic arthroplasty research team at Keck School of Medicine of University of Southern California.

• Interviewed and presented patients with residents to Dr. Earl McFadden Jr. • Observed various shoulder, elbow, and hand surgical procedures

• Responsible for the daily activities of three to four patients ranging from 5-17 years old in an inpatient psychiatric hospital

• Administered patient survey’s in order to assess psychological, social and environmental factors that may contribute to the rehabilitation progression of rotator cuff repair

• Worked as a laboratory research assistant for Dr. Ken Sumida, Chair of Health Sciences and Kinesiology at Chapman University • Determined the impact of resistance training and a caloric restrictive diet on bone mineral density during the growth period in male rats • Supervised and ensured the safety and humane treatment of rat subjects throughout the duration of the study

• Mastered various biochemical processes, including western blot, BSA assay, and cell culture • Investigated the potential link between exosomes and Alzheimers Disease

• Shadowed patient consultations and surgeries at Dr. Pierre Durand’s orthopedic practice
