I operated a 3730 XL DNA sequencer in a high throughput DNA production facility. I helped streamline the lab by developing the process of storing and using samples in 2D Matrix tubes. I created a database to help the associates maintain the large amount of samples in the space. I increased efficiency of sample management by developing the procedures for using a bench top tube sorter with 2D Matrix tubes.

Maintained a close but professional relationship with clients. Made several prospecting calls to current and new clients to try and strengthen or start a client relationship. Maintenanced and serviced clients accounts and sold products to clients through means of proactive consultation.

I performed many analytical tests on water samples delivered by customers. I worked with a team, though strong independent work skills were required. I developed strong laboratory technique with each test due to the fast paced environment. I worked with UV-Vis Spectrophotometers and Astoria-Pacific Flow Analyzers, and was responsible for performing regular maintenance to both.

I worked closely with onsite software development team to integrate Hamilton liquid handlers with the in house LIMS. I helped with the process development for using an Illumina MiSeq to sequence verify the DNA that was made. I automated the entire production process in the lab using Hamilton STARs and placed strong emphasis on increasing efficiency and speed with my methods. I also maximized ease of use with detailed windows containing instructions and pictures in every method. I used an integrated Mettler Toledo balance to verify all the liquid classes for accuracy and precision.
