Experience

Northwest Arkansas Bike Business Innovation Program Coordinator
Bentonville, Arkansas, United States
As NWA Bicycle Business Innovation Program Coordinator, I work to educate, integrate, and activate through dynamic and engaging programming ranging from educational opportunities like Lunch and Learns to group rides to get more people riding bikes more often, tell that story through social media, newsletters, and impact reports.

Student Support Specialist
Serving our staff through instructional coaching, leading Professional Learning Community (PLC) groups, supporting teachers in their Tier I instruction for Math and Literacy, and planning and implementing Tier II and III academic intervention plans for students.

1st Grade Teacher
Fayetteville Public Schools
As a multidisciplinary teacher, I worked to help students make connections to deepen their learning experience. Connections to prior understanding to make the learning sticky, connections between the subject areas to show how interrelated concepts can be, and connections themselves and each other.

Literacy Aide + Cafeteria Monitor
Fayetteville, Arkansas, United States
I worked directly with teachers and students to intervene and provide best practice instruction for students who needed assistance with their reading instruction. In addition to my role as a literacy aide, I was the daily cafeteria monitor and worked to safely and kindly move over 400 students through the lunch periods. Fortunately for me, no one told me this was not often seen as a fun job. I loved interfacing with their entire school on the regular, and enjoyed connecting with students and staff during their break in academic instruction. My time in these two roles confirmed my next steps in education.
