Boyd Wichman started selling carpet in 1972 at Discount Carpet in Topeka, Kansas. I then, worked for 2 years, 1973 and 1974, traveling Missouri and Illinois for 2 different carpet mills. In January of 1975, Boyd and Margaret moved to Seneca, Kansas for 6 months. He learned how to install carpet while working for his Father and Mother in at Seneca Furniture. Then moving to Manhattan in the summer of 1975, Boyd worked full time as a college student and a floor covering installer; graduated with an accounting degree. In 1978, Margaret and Boyd moved to the Kansas City area and have installed floor covering for the past 35 years. Margaret and Boyd have sold and installed thousands of rooms of carpet, vinyl, ceramic and wood floors.
