Bouchra RAHMOUNI

Dr. Bouchra RAHMOUNI, full Professor, is the Director of the Social Innovation Institute (SII) and the Cooperatives Lab (CoopLab) of Mohammed VI Polytechnic University. Bouchra is the former Director of Research, Partnerships, and Events at the Policy Center for the New South (Ex. OCP Policy Center). As an expert and professor, Bouchra RAHMOUNI has participated in numerous steering committees, think tanks, working groups, and advisory boards of many initiatives launched by prestigious international and regional institutions, focusing on three main themes: 1) Enhancing capacity development for inclusive growth and sustainable development in Africa, 2) The economic and social evolution of the Mediterranean region, and 3) Corporate Social Responsibility with an impact-oriented approach. Examples of institutions with which she has collaborated include the African Development Bank, United Nations Population Fund, European Institute of the Mediterranean, United Nations, International Peace Institute in New York, and the Policy Center for the New South. She has also been an affiliated professor at Sciences Po Paris and a visiting professor at New York University (Risk of Finance Engineering Department) in the United States. Bouchra is a distinguished professor of geopolitics at Grenoble Ecole de Management and has served as a visiting professor at the Institute of International Law and Business at Pusan National University in South Korea. For 25 years, she has combined research, teaching, and consulting to promote women’s economic empowerment and social entrepreneurship in Africa. She also has expertise in social innovation and its role in addressing social and environmental challenges in Africa. Bouchra RAHMOUNI continues to build extensive expertise on strategic issues related to disruptions in the Africa-Mediterranean-Europe axis, thus strengthening the foundation for strategic foresight analysis. Bouchra Rahmouni holds a Ph.D. in International Economics from Mohammed V University, co-supervised by Professor Michael Huberman from the University of Montreal, Canada. She also holds certificates from prestigious organizations, including: 1) Executive Leadership Certificate from Harvard Business School, 2) Belt and Road Initiative Certificate awarded by the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences (CASS), Beijing, one of Asia’s top five think tanks, 3) Entrepreneurship and Innovation Development Program Certificate awarded by the Commercial Law Development Program of the U.S. Department of Commerce, and 4) Executive Corporate Governance from Sciences Po Paris.
