Botond Hegedus

At ABZ Innovation we specialise in the development of custom drones for specific applications, mostly agriculture and cleaning. My primary responsibility is to facilitate hardware integration, for our main product line, but I also work with control structures and system design.

BME Suborbitals is a university competition team whose main profile is the development of rockets for research and educational purposes. Within the organisation, I work in the recovery group, where we are developing a rocket landing system that is intended to participate in the European Rockectry Challenge in Portugal in 2024.

Through this student-organised activities, we aim to bring our professional partners closer to our fellow students by organising professional lectures and other activities, while also building community life within faculty. Through our work, you can gain useful communication and sales skills.

I had the opportunity to be part of an R&D project where I was able to develop a deeper understanding of vacuum technologies and project management.

During my compulsory university internship, I had the opportunity to join a startup called Grinsect, where I was involved in the engineering workflow for the creation of an insect breeding plant.
