In my role at Dalton Marine Cosmetics, I am responsible for the end-to-end innovation and development of cosmetic products, from initial ideation to successful market launch. In close collaboration with the CEO, I actively shape product concepts, drive innovation projects and modernise existing portfolios through targeted reformulations. My strong scientific background in cosmetic engineering and cosmetic science enables me to ensure regulatory compliance and scientific accuracy at every stage of the development process. This involves conducting detailed reviews of INCI lists and marketing and claim-related materials, as well as evaluating and implementing new and alternative cosmetic ingredients in line with the brand’s Clean Beauty standards. A key aspect of my role involves designing, planning and analysing efficacy studies to substantiate product claims, in close collaboration with external institutes and contract manufacturers. I oversee the management of formulation, texture and packaging quality to ensure technical excellence and market relevance. Additionally, I monitor market trends and competitive landscapes to identify opportunities for new product development and innovation. I support the sales and marketing teams by providing training, giving presentations and offering ongoing product-related guidance to ensure strong knowledge transfer and consistent, consumer-centric brand messaging across all channels.

As a Product Development Manager at ZOEVA, I supported the full product development process for color cosmetics – from concept through to launch. With a scientific background, I was responsible not only for Regulatory Affairs within the Product Development team, but also for coordinating cosmetic testing related to efficacy studies and claim substantiation. I worked closely with cross-functional teams including E-Commerce, Sales, and Quality. Key responsibilities included: Developed and coordinated product concepts for eye makeup (brow products, mascaras, eyeliners, eyeshadows), lip products (matte lipsticks, plumping glosses, lip liners), complexion (concealers and foundation), and powders (mattifying powders, bronzers, blushes in various shades) Integrated skincare-inspired actives into color cosmetics to enhance performance and deliver added skin benefits Conducted market and trend research to support innovative and brand-relevant product ideas Created briefs for formulations, textures, shades, and packaging across product categories Managed all regulatory tasks within the PD team, including INCI reviews, claim verification, artwork approval, and compliance with EU, UK, and Asian cosmetics regulations Planned and coordinated efficacy and user testing (e.g. long-wear, hydration, plumping effects) to support scientific product claims Supported quality control in collaboration with warehouse teams, especially regarding incoming goods inspection and quality issues Worked closely with E-Commerce and Sales teams to align product communication and performance claims with market expectations Tracked project and development timelines and supporting on-time product launches This role allowed me to combine scientific expertise with creativity and international teamwork, resulting in the launch of effective, innovative, and high-performing cosmetic products.
