The Yarra Valley eLearning community is the first educational group to take full advantage of the benefits offered by increased broadband services through the Government’s telecommunications strategy. The 7 secondary schools in the community have leveraged from a combination of funds from the Department of Education & Training (DE&T) Broadband Innovation Funds (BIF) and school contributions to create a world class example of an ‘e-rich learning environment’. As co-ordinator of this project I have worked with the leadership teams in the schools to improve infrastructure, design and deploy and effective professional development model for over 700 teachers and implemented a collaborative notebook program. I also managed 14 full time educators as we introduced a Learning Management System for over 6000 users.
