The goal of the boot camp is to prepare a humanities graduate with no experience in tech or coding for a job as a professional developer. The curriculum that we developed is a based on a heavily applicative learning approach. The tech we chose to teach is HTML/CSS, MySQL, and Node.js. The classes are 5 days a week - full time. The morning is usually a lecture that I made with presentations along with live demos on the daily subject. The afternoons would then be the students working on a project, and me working with them to help debug / advise.

Our projects ranged from consumer focused native iOS apps - core to a startups business - to enterprise level packages for operating large companies. I was hired out of college to work for LookFar and reveled in the development shop environment which means learning new tech stacks and new business problems quickly and delivering a solution. Time spent there was influential in giving me a broad skill set and a "get it done" mentality.
