completed a project to introduce 18 week reporting in a large mental health trust using SQL stored procedures to provide detailed management reports of patient waiting times encompassing the complex rules and highlighting performance issues and enabling resources to target problem areas. I also completed a further project to automate the resource hungry process of auditing ICR forms. Using T-SQL stored procedure enabled each of the range of forms to be measured for the degree of completeness and report on any mandatory sections not completed and provide exception reports to highlight discrepancies.

worked on a project to replace out dated waiting list management and 18 weeks report generation processes with a more accurate, automated streamlined process. Worked on solutions to resolve areas of concern and fixed issues of data accuracy and quality of reporting. Utilised SQL Server and its Business intelligence tools to provide a much improved system producing well presented, dynamic performance reports through SSRS and SSIS, along with accurate and timely primary target list reports, commissioner reports and Unify summary submission reports.

I worked with the information team, initially brought in to review reporting processes and ease the pressure on the team which provided reporting services to the PCT and mental health trust. I later worked on a project to migrate SAS programs to SQL stored procedure and introduced SSRS to replace existing report mechanisms. I was also the lead analyst in developing key datasets / Lorenzo system extracts to feed into operational report requirements in Service Line Reporting.

I worked as part of a national team to develop and support management information reporting systems to meet electricity and gas, back and front office MI requirements. I had responsibility for gathering requirements, negotiating with users, developing and implementing a series of database applications that provided the MI Reporting Tools for back office teams and 3rd party contract management. I was seconded to work within Fujitsu and co-ordinated between them and British Gas on a major contract to migrate 600 business critical Access Database systems from 97 versions to 2003 versions. I later worked on a project to convert business critical Access database applications to SQL Server 2000 DTS Packages as part of a major change in IT systems In this role I had exposure to full life cycle system documentation.

* Took over an existing project to further develop and implement a SQL Server 2008 R2 relational database and data warehouse solution for managing strategic planning, scheduling and costing. * Developed robust ETL processes to facilitate integration with other systems, through inputs, outputs and complex business requirements. * Supported technical and user testing by investigating and fixing bugs. Completed a project to design, develop and implement software for patient risk stratification based on NHS secondary user service data and primary care data. Included creating ETL processes to load source data into a dimensional model, stored on a parallel data warehouse platform with SQL 2012 based landing zone. Also included complex stored procedures to extract and manipulate data to feed into SSRS reports.culminating in a fully automated and configurable end to end process.

And Sep 2009 to Dec 2009 I was given the opportunity to put into practise my extensive knowledge and experience of relational databases to design and build, a MySQL database to provide data retrieval for a local government research website. I held responsibility for creating and managing the upload processes, data transformations and query writing / optimising. I was instrumental in moving the project from its roots to becoming an extremely valuable data intelligence resource to the Council and the wider public.

worked within a small team developing data capture solutions for clinical processes such as Cancer Waiting Times, 18 week management and pharmacy activity. I was Lead developer on a project to replace the Cancer Waiting Times Access based system, designing and implementing a much more robust data capture and reporting solution.

I managed a small team responsible for writing SQL reports to extract business requested data from Oracle Core systems, designing MI reports, building automated process solutions and working on business improvement projects. I also supported business critical projects, gathering, manipulating and analysing raw data from different sources and presenting reports and findings to high level management.

Worked with a team on a project to migrate the hospital trust’s PAS system from IPM to CSC’s Lorenzo. Responsible for providing a suite of reports to capture data entered into the old system during the switch to the new system. Provided post reconciliation analysis to identify and flag up missing data between old and new systems. Technical skill sets used: SQL Server 2008R2 SSRS and specialist knowledge: IPM and Lorenzo (acute patient administrative systems).

provided the lead on maintaining and improving existing MI reporting facilities, reviewing existing reports, writing new reports to meet business needs and building SSIS packages and SSRS environments to provide and control MI reporting and processes. Took on the role of lead developer on a data migration and office closure project, responsible for extracting and assembling core datasets relating to the registration of Social Workers to be transferred to alternative governing body. Utilised extensive knowledge and skills in T-SQL and SQL Server 2000/2005/2008 versions and held responsibility for writing all the extraction scripts and ETL packages involved in the process.
