My role focuses on supporting and advancing the chamber's mission of promoting favourable policies and regulations for the virtual assets sector. Key Responsibilities: Policy Advocacy: Advocate for regulatory frameworks that facilitate a secure, innovative, and accessible Virtual Assets ecosystem across the region. Research & Analysis: Analyze trends, regulations, and developments in virtual assets, contributing insights to help shape impactful policy recommendations. Strategic Collaboration: Work closely with committee members, regulators, and industry leaders to strengthen alignment on virtual assets issues and promote best practices. Stakeholder Engagement: Engage with stakeholders to address challenges and opportunities, ensuring that policies serve both the industry and the broader public interest. Objective: The goal of my role is to support the Virtual Assets Chamber of Commerce in building a supportive regulatory environment that enables growth and innovation in the virtual assets space, benefiting both industry participants and end users.

Based in Nairobi, Kenya, I bring a wealth of experience and expertise in navigating the intricate intersection of law and technology, ensuring our clients achieve full legal compliance while thriving in a dynamic business environment.

Selected as a Devcon Legal Scholar under the Ethereum Foundation’s prestigious program designed to cultivate legally proficient and technically aware professionals committed to advancing the Ethereum ecosystem. Had the pleasure of attending Ethereum Devcon SEA in Bangkok, Thailand. Participated in technical training, specialized legal sessions, and mentorship programs led by the Ethereum Foundation’s legal team both virtually and in person. Engaged with global legal professionals, fostering collaborative discussions on the intersection of law and blockchain technology. Wrote researched articles on key topics such as stablecoins, their regulatory implications, and their potential to unlock financial inclusion in the global South. Contributed to the broader Ethereum community by exploring the legal frameworks surrounding Web3 innovation and compliance. Actively participated in Ethereum-related events and initiatives in Bangkok, Thailand to promote responsible and inclusive adoption of blockchain technology. My aim in this role was to bridge the gap between law and technology while contributing to meaningful discussions on how virtual assets can drive positive global change.
