Bill Chopik
Associate Professor @ Michigan State University
About
Dr. Chopik is an associate professor of psychology and data scientist at Michigan State University. He studies how relationships--and the people in them--change over time and across situations. His research focuses on how factors both inside (biological, hormonal) and outside (social roles, geography) of people influence their approach to social relationships. This study involves phenomena as broad as how relationships and social institutions shape development and as focused as the hormonal mechanisms that underlie love and intimacy. He has been the recipient of many awards and recognitions, including the APS Rising Star Award, SAGE Young Scholar Award, and was chosen as Forbes Magazine's Top 30 Scientists Under 30 in 2016. His research and insights have been featured in Time Magazine, the New York Times, CNN, the Washington Post, Good Morning America, National Geographic, Salon, Business Insider, and many more. Dr. Chopik is available for public speaking and consulting opportunities. See https://chopiklab.com/ for more information.
