Responsible for all new and existing tooling on a internal and regional level while supporting R&D, manufacturing, and management. Procure all mold/tooling projects from concept to production approval. • Managed all injection mold tooling in North & Central America. United States, Canada, & Mexico. • Established Mold Maintenance program both internally and regionally. • Designed & developed multi cavity (IMA) in mold assembly mold tooling which molds 2 different parts in the same mold and assembles them together before ejecting. This resulted in one less labor person and freed up 1 molding press.

Planned & coordinated the development & implementation of plastic injection molds, blow molds, & fixtures through a process related to cost analysis, part quality and project timing guide lines. Participated in the DFM & FEA process to develop new plastic consumer products. Assessed & determined needs; such as: cavitation, shrinkage, gating, draft angles, tolerances, material needs, etc. ultimately responsible for the complete mold procurement process while meeting company costs and manufacturing goals on large multi mold projects using solidworks, autocad, and moldflow MPA for family molds, stack molds, & high cavitation molds. Established requirements and completed RFQ’s for large multi mold programs. Outsourced/manage projects from concept development through a production approval process. Negotiated & approved the outsourcing through a competitive quote process. Worked closely with outside domestic and foreign vendors to successfully complete such projects. Wrote capital expenditures & purchase order requests for molds, tooling, fixtures & services as required. Oversee & accountable for new molds, equipment, tooling and fixtures to support new product development. Work with molding areas on the development, design, fabrication of molds, mold validation strategy, cost improvement projects & production. Provided cost & time saving ideas to R & D team to meet & exceed DFM goals. Working Knowledge with polypropylene, polyethylene, polycarbonate, & acetyl. • Lead large multi-million dollar programs for new injection and blow mold projects and established a high quality mold procurement process • Multi tasked and programmed and engineered in house engineering changes on molds which provided a substantial time and cost saving environment • Engineering activities included support expansions of new product development activities. Provide technical support to molding operations and trouble-shooting with existing molds or continuous improvement efforts.

C.N.C program, set up, & operating multiple machines simultaneously with strong working knowledge of G & M code programming. Engineering of plastic injections molds of multiple cavitations, side actions, and lifters. Great working knowledge of 3d surface modeling for establishing parting lines, electrodes, and special machining files • Designed & manufactured special jigs & fixtures used to automate tool room machining including the set up and operating tasks of robots for self-loading of unattended machine run times for valuable lights out manufacturing • Department manager responsible for all employees on medium CNC and all edm machines

Completion of die cast die/mold maker/tool maker apprenticeship. Large amounts of operating experience on typical tool room machinery including mills, lathes, grinders, & C.N.C machines. Personally participated in every facet of the mold building process including machine operation, programming using CAD CAM software and at the machine G-code & M-code proficiencies as well as engineering. Was responsible for building and overseeing multiple large Die Cast die mold build projects • Completed mold building apprenticeship and established mold building standards • Personally responsible for the complete building and programming of several mold builds at one time.
