About

I trained as a physician, and in parallel worked as an academic in the machine learning for health sector. Now a (mostly) full time digital health technologist. Until recently I led a team that funds digital technology for science and health at one of the world's largest philanthropic foundations (The Wellcome Trust), and then ran a market shaping initiative (Digital Square) focused on digital transformation of health systems to achieve global health equity. Now, I'm the inaugural Chief AI Officer at PATH figuring out what works, for whom, and how to scale it!

Digital Square is PATH's flagship initiative on digital transformation of health systems. As Executive Director, I managed a global team working across over 30 low-and-middle-income countries, which facilitated over $180M in investment in digital health technologies from 18 bilateral, multilateral and philanthropic donors. Moreover, during my tenure, I served as principal investigator on almost a quarter of a billion in grants and contracts focused on digital health and AI.
