I undertook a research project in the department of Anatomy and Development: investigating the role of Hedgehog signalling pathway in GnRH neuronal development and Kallmann Syndrome and worked full time for three months. Practical experience in conducting and designing experiments independently and cultured GnRH neuronal cells, harvested cells for RNA extraction, performed RT-PCR, gel electrophoresis, transient transections and also motility assays. Developed skills in scientific writing and data analysis to interpret raw scientific data.
