About

The power of CFD and its application in the design of complex machines like aircraft and spacecraft has held my interest since my undergraduate education. The development of novel solution methods, coupled with revolutionary advances in the computing industry have placed CFD and related computational simulation tools in a unique and fascinating position within the engineering design process. The power, ease and efficiency of these techniques foster the development of innovative solutions to today's toughest engineering challenges and allow us to expand the frontiers of technological capability. My keen interest in tackling these problems led me to pursue Aeronautical and Aerospace engineering through my undergraduate and graduate studies, with a specialization in CFD. I am driven by the prospect of doing something never before done and am intrigued by the question "What if ?"

As an application engineer intern in the Heavy Vehicles North American (HVNA) team, I handled and supported several customer projects involving underhood airflow and thermal analysis. These projects were focused on enabling customers to pass strict US EPA Tier 4 final emissions regulations and my roles ranged from pre-procssing geometry for CFD analysis, simulation case preparation, simulation execution and monitoring, analysis and post-processing of results and proposal of design recommendations through direct client presentations. . I gained expertise in the use of Exa's PowerFLOW suite of CFD analysis tools and also carried out process improvement projects and beta testing in order to help achieve process efficiency targets.
