My love for children who are at risk has been my passion. The McGlynn Center at Boulevard Town Homes and Mineral Springs Village are two locations where the children and teens attend an after school program where they receive assistance with home work and are mentored by local volunteers. We have a teen program which begins at 5:00 pm and keeps teens off the streets. These programs are working because 25 years ago Sister Miriam Stadulis saw a need in our community to help at risk children. Over the last 25 years, there has not been one child who has ever been before the juvenile court system and there is a lot to be said about. If we implement these programs across the U.S., we would have less crime in our communities.
