Assessed, diagnosed, and treated patients with cognitive-communication disorders, neurogenic speech and language disorders, and dysphagia for acute care adult inpatients and outpatients. Knowledge and clinical skills for patients experiencing aphasia, apraxia, dysarthria, cognitive-linguistic impairments, dysphagia, and voice disorders, as a result of stroke, TBI, concussion, head and neck cancer, tracheostomies, or neurogenic etiologies. Experienced in assessing, diagnosing and treating pediatric feeding and swallowing impairments in the inpatient and outpatient setting (e.g. Aero-digestive feeding/swallowing impairments, cleft palate, feeding refusal). Competent in performing Modifed Barium Swallow Studies (MBSS). Completed training for Fiberoptic Endoscopic Evaulation of Swallowing (FEES) and currently working towards competency.

Assessed, diagnosed, and treated adult inpatients with dysphagia, dysarthria, aphasia, and apraxia as a result of stroke, head and neck cancer, neurological progressive disorders, etc. Experience with Passy-Muir Speaking Valve Protocol, and MBSS.

Completed medical externship assessing, diagnosing, and treating veterans and active duty military members with cognitive-communication disorders, speech and language disorders, and voice disorders in the acute inpatient and outpatient setting (I.e. blast victims, TBI, GSW, tracheostomies, stroke). Gained experience with FEES, MBSS, and stroboscopies.

Inpatient acute care SLP for adult population as well as evaluate and treat outpatient adults with dysphagia, high level cognitive communication disorders, voice disorders, speech-language disorders.
