Ada Elementary; Early Childhood Special Education Program Completed evaluation and provided treatment for children ages 3-6 years utilizing pull-out and push-in methodology. Treatment areas addressed: speech sound disorders, expressive and receptive language, pragmatics, and cognitive communication disorders. All service provisions were overseen by a certified CCC-SLP supervisor.

* Responsibilities included: participating in program development for new collaboration between Calvin College and the Grand Rapids Home for Veterans * evaluation for long-term care residents * implementing evidence-based treatment for diagnoses including aphasia, dysphagia, Parkinson's Disease, Right Hemisphere Syndrome, dysarthria, and documented hearing loss * creating no-tech AAC systems for individuals with complex communication needs * patient and staff education related to communication disorders and compensatory strategies. All service provisions were overseen by a certified CCC-SLP supervisor.

Participated as a member of the adult inpatient brain injury and oncology teams. Responsibilities included: accurate and efficient completion of evaluation, progress, and daily notes; daily and weekly communication regarding patients' progress to an interdisciplinary team; provision of functional, hierarchical, and evidenced-based treatment for dyphagia, aphasia, apraxia, tracheosomy, voice disorders, and cognitive communication disorders secondary to traumatic and non-traumatic brain injury. All service provisions were overseen by a certified CCC-SLP supervisor.

Responsibilities included: performing supervised diagnostic and treatment sessions for pediatric and adult clients, leading individual and group treatment sessions, creating therapy activities, writing evaluative reports, counseling clients and families, educating families on various disabilities/symptoms, administered various formal (TEA, WAB, GFTA-2, FAVRES, etc.) and informal tests, collaborating with fellow clinicians and supervisors. Additionally: completed clinical clock hours at the Grand Rapids Home for Veterans under supervision through Calvin College. All service provisions were overseen by a certified CCC-SLP supervisor.
