Outpatient Surgery • Assist and chart in the preparation/discharge of patients to surgery center • Document, vital signs, patient care, and changes in patient behavior or condition • Locate any missing patient documents such as EKG’s, correct mistyped consents, and copy patient’s discharge paperwork & scripts for patient chart • Assist in patient care activities as directed by nursing • Reinforce patient/family education as directed by nursing • Maintain supplies for patient care areas

• Prompt registration of patients for direct admits, scheduled admissions, outpatient surgeries, and outpatient appointments into Meditech program • Verification and accurate documentation of patient financial and demographic information • Educates patients about the purpose of consents, HIPAA, Medicare forms, patient & Medicare rights • Compliant with applicable laws, regulations, standards and hospital policies and procedures • Scanning of all signed consent forms, ID’s and insurance cards, outpatient physician orders into software called Front Office Scanning • Collection of copays/deductibles for ED services & payments for current and past medical services • Seeks financial alternatives to uninsured patients and educates patients of alternative choices

TCU/IRU, Med-Surg, CICU, Reflections • Supervise and/or assist patients with ADL activities (bathing, dressing, transferring) and rehabilitative restoratives to reinstate independence • Maintain cleanliness of patient rooms, utility rooms, and dining areas • Apply patience, multi-tasking skills, and preparations in high-stress situations • Proficient in Meditech documentation and customer service skills

• Establishing client relationships and practicing professional customer service • Contributing to the patient’s treatment by transporting patients, queuing exercise, and providing assistance to therapists when necessary • Performing customer service calls and scheduling appointments • Assisting with daily duties such as linen stock, preparing equipment for treatment, keeping equipment and space sanitized and clean • Management of patient documentation and filing paperwork
