· Managing activities of the Legal department, involving tax and fiscal areas, social security, judicial recovery and advisory and strategic litigation. · Acting at in corporate scope, comprising holding company and operations in SP, PR, MT, MS and GO, with sales to the domestic market and exports. · Conducting analysis of legal alternatives in respect to indirect and direct taxes, social security, customs taxes, special regimes, accounting and tax frameworks, tax credits, benefits. · Analysis of the business model, identifying opportunities for tax efficiency throughout the production and distribution chain; preparation of tax thesis, responses, and strategic administrative claims. · Monitoring of specialized law firms; active participation in the discussion strategies with partners. · Management of the tax litigation portfolio; Control of contingencies, risks and provisions. · Support to external audits, providing necessary documentation for discussion of contingencies. · Interface with leadership team from all internal areas, providing legal advice on key and business-sensitive topics, supporting the definition of strategies and achievement of objectives. · Managing a team of 33 professionals – 2 Managers.

· Responsible for ensuring tax and fiscal compliance within all operations, branches, areas of the company. · Mapping of internal processes and procedures, analyzing tax impacts, advising on good practices and providing the best solutions for the company. · Follow-up of tax benefit processes, credit recovery, strategies for offsetting other taxes, and corporate reframing. · Elaboration of thesis for maintenance and continuity of claims.

· Management of the Legal, Judicial Reorganization, Compliance and Corporate Governance areas. · Legal advice (litigation and advisory) on the Law practices of corporate, contractual, financial contracts, capital markets, tax, and M&A. · Coordination and supervision of the internal team; definition of priorities and positioning in law practices and lawsuits. · Management of the strategic litigation portfolio; control of contingencies, risks and provisions. · Follow-up of specialized law firms, discussing strategies with the partners. · Interaction with peers and senior leadership, providing legal technical advice, mitigation plans, legal opinions, strategic recommendations, as well as preparation of corporate documents and contracts, analysis of contingencies and financial provisions. · Reporting to the Legal Director; managing a team of 8 professionals.

· Member of the Tax team (advisory and litigation), supporting clients in their strategies concerning the structuring of operations and related tax impacts, comprising direct and indirect taxes, ancillary obligations and social security. · Interaction with senior leadership from clients (Legal Director and Chief Financial Officer) to understand their demands, present recommendations and legal opinions, discuss strategies to conduct lawsuits, as well as risks and mitigation plans. · Coordination of work fronts focused on credit recovery, tax exemptions, special regimes, review of regimes, framework, tax benefits, temporary admission, bilateral agreements, Refis. · Preparation of legal opinions, reviews, defenses, claims, follow-up of new thesis, analysis of jurisprudence, oral argument. · Conducting strategic meetings with authorities from Ministry of Economy, TRFs, Federal Revenue.
