Ben Peterson PhD, CSCS

Ben is a seasoned leader in the field of sports science and analytics, with over 10 years of experience in developing and implementing effective performance systems for elite teams and athletes. He holds a PhD in Kinesiology and Exercise Science from the University of Minnesota-Twin Cities, and is a certified strength and conditioning specialist (CSCS). As the VP of Player Health and Performance at San Francisco 49ers, Ben coordinates a multidisciplinary team of specialists that provide the best standard of care for the players, with the goal of optimizing their performance and maximizing their availability. He oversees athletic training, sports medicine, physical therapy, strength and conditioning, and nutrition, and leverages cutting-edge technology and data-driven insights to build solutions to complex problems in high-stress, time-restricted environments. Ben is passionate about enhancing the health and performance of athletes, and delivering measurable outcomes for the organization.
