* Completed training in Newcastle as the Siemens training centre leaving there as a level 4 technician. * Spent 4 months at Barrow offshore wind farm where I worked on VESTA turbines giving me and opportunity to adapt to a different type of turbine. * Picked out to progress to a level 5 service technician, leading a team of 3. * Interpreted controlled documents including the E-Plan, which is as electrical drawing for the turbine and the service manual, which outlines all service tasks and details such as oil type and torque and tension values. * Control of an approved written procedure to keep working under the service manual safely. This is a legal document which includes the “lock and tag out” system on electrical systems. Included in the AWP are risk and COSHH assessments and method statements. * Maintenance of all hydraulic, mechanical and electrical systems of the turbine including generator alignment, gearbox inspection, pendulum bearings, bolt torque and tensioning, hatch, brake, yaw and pitch hydraulics. * Placed on a fault finding team to expand knowledge.

* Completed full apprenticeship as an Electrical engineer. * Identified and solved electronic design problems, resulting in more efficient and cost effective products. * Handpicked throughout the company as a team of 4 to work on the Submarines gearbox. Working in a full clean environment using skill and patience. The gearbox was passed off by the MOD with an excellence rating at the time. * Worked where and when needed giving me the opportunity to broaden my skills in the plant and maintenance team.

* Using GTX Image, I produced and modified single line diagrams, block cable diagrams, cable termination diagrams, cable routing and lighting layouts. * Create new ideas within the specifications given and then present them to the project manager for analysis. * Produce cable schedules where I was made allocator to cable numbers so had to allocate numbers via email and telephone to get information then create the schedules as they arrived. * Having had to go onto site, Sellafield Nuclear Site, to hold meetings and work with the engineers on projects so we can work together and work through any problems that have arisen. * Performed data analysis and provided recommendations to achieve a better and more time productive cable number spreadsheet. Some jobs require me going up to a site to hold meetings with clients and talk through any problems that may have occurred or how things can be improved thus giving myself better communication skills.
