About

I am a first year JD candidate at Harvard Law School. Previously I was a Policy Analyst at The Heritage Foundation focusing on regulations, regulatory policy, and the administrative state. My work included filing several public comments fighting arbitrary and harmful proposed regulations and doing research on the administrative state more broadly. Previously I was a Graduate Fellow in The Heritage Foundation’s Center for Health and Welfare Policy, where I focused on identifying anti-marriage welfare policies and proposing reforms for a pro-family and pro-work welfare system. I received my MA from The University of Chicago where I primarily worked in political theory. My thesis explored the relationship between Christianity and politics in the Roman histories of St. Augustine of Hippo and Niccolò Machiavelli. I graduated cum laude in Applied Mathematics with a secondary in Government from Harvard University, where I was also Chairman of the John Adams Society. My work has spanned many fields, including administrative law, public policy, statistics, computer science, business development, and academia.

Work focused on identifying and analyzing anti-marriage incentives and policies in the welfare system, especially the EITC and state-level education programs. The latter work showed that the majority of state preschool programs penalize marriage and was the first study of its kind. Report (http://report.heritage.org/bg3742) identified the source of these marriage penalties and proposed an alternative pro-family structure to this and other welfare programs.
