Experience

Cybersecurity Engineer
Madison, Wisconsin Area
I worked as a cybersecurity engineer for Epic's Hosting division. My role was to develop processes, evaluate technical changes, and build and implement tools to improve Epic Hosting's security against cyberattacks and data breaches. I was the primary owner of Epic Hosting's endpoint protection software -- specifically antivirus and application whitelisting. I also worked with other software in our environment, including vulnerability scanning, MFA, SIEM, AD, credential tiering, and microsegmentation/distributed firewall management. And I was very dangerous when given a PowerShell prompt.

Technical Services - Engineer (Professional Billing application)
Madison, Wisconsin Area
Epic is a software company whose electronic health record software is used for nearly 60% of the population of the United States. Technical Services bridges user experience with underlying software performance. My responsibilities included debugging, error-checking, and software development to fulfill the overarching goal of ensuring customers' happiness and success. Through my work, I earned certifications in the following Epic applications: Resolute Professional Billing, Resolute Hospital Billing, Claims and Remittance, Benefits Engine, Clarity, Single Billing Office, and Charge Router.
