I am responsible for the overall management and integration of the Product Evaluation Program as part of the NCDOT Value Management Office. My responsibilities include actively driving and managing the technical evaluation stage of the product evaluation and new technologies process, working in conjunction with the technical work groups as the key technical advisor to product and new technologies evaluation methods for consistency and compliance, and acting as a product and technology advocate for integration of innovative products and technology into the design of roadways, structures, railways, transit, bike and pedestrian transportation, aviation and ferry systems.

Responsible for the management of the Constructability Review Program including technical review of projects and project selection, meeting logistics and facilitation through constructibility discussions, technical reporting, and continuous improvement of program methods and guidelines. Also responsible for the review of Value Engineering Change Proposals submitted by construction contractors for post-let design changes and assisting with Value Engineering Studies and product evaluations as needed.

Responsible for assisting with the programs maintained by the Value Management Office including Value Engineering, Risk Assessments, Product Evaluation, Constructibility Reviews, Value Engineering Change Proposal Review, and Resource Conservation.

Worked with many units including the Quality Enhancement Unit, Transportation Planning Branch, Hydraulics Unit, Division of Aviation, and Division 5 Maintenance and Construction as part of a 18 month rotation program for recent college graduates.
