Benjamin Chiao

Benjamin is Professor at the Paris School of Technology & Business, and co-Director of the Center for Chinese Entrepreneurship and Management Thought at the Shanghai University of Finance and Economics. As Deputy Secretary General of International Peace Alliance (Space), he helps bring in the world's best space technologies for peaceful uses with the help of the 8 most authoritative space organizations in the world. He also teaches at HKUST and British University Vietnam as adjunct professor from time to time. He is a well known commentator, analyzing the Chinese economy for the media over a thousand times in China, Russia, Germany, France, U.K., Switzerland, etc. He is a director of some of the most profitable banks and incubators in China. Previously he worked in institutions around the globe such as Peking U,NYU,HKUST, PSB and HKMA. He is a highly sought-after consultant for leading global companies and organizations such as the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development. His research focuses on the law and economics of information technologies, biological economics, and Chinese economy. He published on the economics of standard-setting organizations with Josh Lerner and Nobel Laureate Jean Tirole. As Academic Chair of the Shenzhen Artificial Intelligence Industry Association, he is keen on improving AI through brain science and economics.
