Ben was the research associate to Dr. Rush Doshi, Director of the China Strategy Initiative and C.V. Starr Senior Fellow for Asia Studies.

Ben was the research associate to the Henry A. Kissinger Senior Fellow for U.S. Foreign Policy, Ambassador Robert D. Blackwill, and to Senior Fellow Dr. Carla Robbins.

Ben conducted research with Ambassador Robert D. Blackwill to support the work of Dr. Henry A. Kissinger.

Ben was appointed by the American University Board of Trustees to represent all undergraduate, graduate, and law students at American University. During his time on the board, Ben analyzed and discussed 400-500 pages of financial, academic, and campus life matters quarterly. He contributed to discussions on how to deal with COVID-19 as a university and sat on the Finance and Investment Committee where he contributed to managing the university's $815 million endowment.

City Attorney Mike Feuer hand-selected Ben to serve as one of two student voices on his panel dedicated to curating the most innovative solutions to school safety. Ben participated in hours-long panel discussion with former Los Angeles City Council Members, the Chief of School Police, a former City Controller, and other city leaders. In this capacity, Ben helped draft a 40-page recommendation to the Los Angeles Unified School District on how to make schools safer environments for students to thrive.

In his senior year of high school, Ben was elected to represent all 664,000 students in the Los Angeles Unified School District, the second-largest school district in the country, on its Board of Education. In this capacity, Ben analyzed and discussed 500 to 700 pages of education policy monthly. He also helped manage the $7.59 billion budget of the district. To best inform his decisions, Ben worked with a team of twenty student leaders from across the district to understand varying needs and wants of students.
