Ever since a young age I have wanted to work in a successful organisation where I could use my extensive skills and abilities to make a positive impact. Embarking on this journey and combining my substantial interest in sport, I attended Northumbria University where I studied Sport development with coaching. The nature of my degree has prepared me for many different aspects of the working environment by combining the use of placements and formative assessments. The course itself involved a great deal of independent research, requiring initiative, self-motivation and a wide range of skills. For one, the degree focused on expanding my knowledge on sport organisation’s business perspectives and how these organisations develop; the influence policy has on organisations in terms of their climate and finally the way in which people learn, develop and function. I found these core modules very stimulating and interesting which have led me to believe a role in a fast-paced, dynamic environment precisely fits my career aspirations.
