Artesian Investment Partners is a private investment firm focused on acquiring and growing a small to medium-sized business. VetCare is an independent, Vancouver based company focused exclusively on acquiring and operating veterinary practices. As part of a small entrepreneurial team, I oversaw acquisition outreach and strategy, provided financial analysis and valuations for prospective companies, improved internal processes and tools for operational efficiencies, managed training and onboarding for new employees, and advised on strategic next steps for the company to grow and improve going into the future.

2017 Summer Internship: Piloted program and taught entrepreneurial business in 3 different First Nation reservation communities in BC; teaching and consulting over 60 individuals within these communities. Customized local programming: adding executive education, individual consulting appointments and evening accelerated workshops. Spring 2018: Adapted and taught a second installation of the program again in a community that requested my return. Planned and organized a full day strategic planning session with 45 participants for the Ch'nook office. Facilitated two workshop sessions with 8 participants from varying backgrounds (Indigenous community members, donors, external advisors, Sauder faculty, Sauder staff).

Oversaw the team leads, aiding them with: client project scoping and engagement, leadership strategies for their teams, problem structuring, final deliverable review/feedback, and project close feedback. Led team of Junior Consultants in a semester-long pro-bono consulting project for an international non-profit organization providing aid to children and families in the Himalayas. The project entailed creating a document management strategy, with tool selection coming from our created analytical decision scorecard.

Led team of Junior Consultants in a semester-long pro-bono consulting project, working on a market entry strategy for a UBC science research group looking to commercialize their technology.

Served customers as inside sales, working with them to find product solutions and managing delivery. Selected best control/measurement products through analyzing customer’s technical process conditions. Priced products strategically to maximize profit while ensuring proposed bid packages were successful. Taught education courses for customers on fluid dynamics and technology solutions.

Performed root cause analysis with a special interdisciplinary team for an emergency response to unexpected test results. Uncovered findings that explained results; group was commended for speed and thoroughness. Authored two technical papers on validation work and root cause analysis results.
