As a Cambridge University graduate that has founded several successful small businesses, I am excited to apply my entrepreneurial flair when pivoting to a career in finance. I believe that graduating from Cambridge with a 1st with distinction and within the top 3 of my cohort evidences my academic potential, whilst my achievements in sport and business highlight my resilience, leadership and diverse skill set. Furthermore, I have a deep interest in equities, markets and pharmaceuticals and will use this internal curiosity to drive myself to excel during my career. A year away from Medical Studies allowed me to explore the foundations of corporate finance, economics and accountancy. The opportunity to intercalate in this degree has cemented by decision to pursue a career in the financial sector whereby I can utilise the interpersonal and analytical skills I have evolved during my time studying medicine. I thoroughly enjoyed developing discounted cash flow models for large corporations, such as Tesla and Boeing, and reviewing my results to further develop my personal valuation methods. Gaining a breadth of knowledge in both macro- and microeconomics enables theory to be applied to the developing financial world and has given me a better understand of the driving forces which underly markets.
