Currently working in Biology unit for Drug Discovery at Confo Therapeutics. As a cell biologist, I take part in developing cellular assays for GPCR's towards our target diseases. Investigating GPCR signaling and its activity in various cellular assay models and using these assays to further characterize and use in proof of concept for our small molecules.

* Worked under Cell Based Solutions unit within the Discovery Department. As a Research Associate, I have taken place in generation of research tools, and screening or characterizing and understanding of the function of Nanobody® lead drug candidates for various therapeutic applications. These applications included using mammalian cell culture technologies such as cell line generation, maintenance & quality control of cell lines (expression of target antigen), flow cytometry experiments and cell-based functional assays (e.g. cell proliferation, ligand binding, cell signaling). * Skills; * Cell based assay optimizations for sensitivity and high throughput * Single cell line generation (stable or transient transfection via electroporation, chemical transfection) * Binding or competition assays using nanobody/antibody tools (FACS, ELISA) * Cell-based potency assays for characterization or screening purposes (Fluorescence, luminescence, TRF) * Functional assays with primary cells (isolated PBMC's)

* Thesis subject: Exploring the relationship between daily intake of Aflatoxin B1 and infertility by use of TM3 Leydig cell line. * Responsibilities; * Actively working in several running projects under the faculty. * Assisting at technical laboratory courses at the university * Literature screening and scientific writing. * Acquired skills; * Mammalian cell culture * Immuno-histological techniques * ELISA testing from cell culture supernate * Biochemical assays, oxidant enzyme kinetic measurements * Sampling of animal species * Histometric counting/measuring * Knowledge over developmental biology and monitoring animals

* In vitro drug toxicity in cell culture models using transfected or transformation. Understanding over the toxicity of reactive metabolites in regularly used shelf drugs. Generating reactive metabolites through enzymatic conversions in transfected cells and further investigating the toxicity over cell viability. * Acquired skills; * DNA/Protein purification and plasmid construction * Bacteria cloning and transformation * Mammalian cell transfection with chemicals * Quantification of protein amounts in cell culture * Fluorescence assays on cell culture supernate * Determination of end products in supernate using HPLC * Yeast culturing and transformation * Knowledge over pharmacokinetics

* Assisting laboratory routine by collecting blood samples in central biochemistry lab, running tests and verifying the results under supervision. * Acquired skills; * Working at BSL-2 lab * Blood tests for cancer patients * Handling and application of blood sampling from patients
